Welsh Day Schools and Intensive Weekend Courses

Gwent Welsh Day Schools and Intensive Weekend/Week Courses are a great chance to have more contact with the language. As you know, the more you practise the more you learn, and that is exactly what these will give you!

You'll have 6 / 15 / 30 hours of Welsh classes with very experienced tutors, coffee, tea and a full lunch and the opportunity to practise your Welsh throughout the day with other learners of your standard.

There will be a Welsh bookshop with all the latest books, magazines, cards, videos, cassettes and CDs for Welsh learners - children and adults.

Why not come along with a few class-mates? It will be more fun if you come with some friends.
Whatever your level, there will be a suitable class for you.




As you know whenever you're learning a new skill such as a language, it’s so important to practise as much as possible. However much time you spend pouring over books, the best thing you can do is speak Welsh as much as possible.

Your tutor will make every effort to ensure the emphasis is on speaking Welsh as much as possible in class. In addition the Gwent Welsh for Adults Centre recognises how important it is for you to practise your Welsh outside the classroom by organising a wide range of social activities.
The most important thing is that you have an opportunity to practise your Welsh - whatever your level.
